About GYAP : Solo + Chamber
Summer Music Program hosted at the Universidad de las Americas - Puebla, Mexico II ages 16-34
GYAP 2025 Program accepting applications for violin, viola, piano, collaborative piano, and chamber music groups
July 14 – 28, 2025
The focus of the program is an individual improvement through daily lessons, working with piano and through public performance. Students in the program will have the opportunity to be intensively working on old and new repertoire. They will have the opportunity to explore in depth the vast instrumental repertoire focusing on general concepts of successful partnering, technical and pianistic concerns, building repertoire, and keys to professional development. Various seminars and guest lectures will be offered covering topics like: practice techniques, developing career opportunities, and discussions of holistic approaches to balanced playing. Students will receive performance opportunities at the University and connect with the local music community. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in daily fun actives and planed trips to visit the Britt Coffee Plantation and Poas Volcano!
Viola Intensive

Interested students will be required to submit videos of 3 pieces of contrasting styles. One of the videos can be from a chamber music performance. The videos must be recent and unedited.

Application deadline is June 15th 2025. Class is limited to 6 applicants. Please mention in your application if you desire to work with Prof. Goldstein or Dr. Lopez

Tuition (6 lessons) : 500 USD
Tuition (4 lessons) : 300 USD
A non-refundable deposit of 150 USD is due by June 1st 2024
Full payment due by July 1st 2025
All lesson packages include free participations to all workshop, masterclasses, lessons, and studio classes

All teaching and performances will be held at UDLAP

Transportation will be provided from Benito Juarez International Airport
Selected students will have to cover the cost of travel to Mexico at their own expenses
Please make sure to arrive by 4 pm on July 14th to attend orientation
